Pet care franchise Hounds Town USA is thrilled to announce its first multi-unit franchisee deal in Detroit with new owner Pete Mourad! Over the course of the next four years, Mourad will be developing three Hounds Town facilities serving the Detroit communities of Troy, St. Clair Shores, and Royal Oak.

“It is the perfect fit for me for many reasons…to be a small business owner and to work with dogs every day is exactly what I was hoping to find for my next endeavor,” Mourad says. Formerly the Executive Vice President of Sales of a health care business he founded nearly 25 years ago, Mourad sold his company and began looking for a new investment. That’s when he discovered Hounds Town.

Mourad was attracted to the pet care franchise brand because he believes it makes “doggie daycare affordable to almost everyone and still has the same service model and quality of care that very expensive daycare models offer.” Mourad adds that he will definitely be a “hands-on” owner and operator and can’t wait for the Michigan day care facilities to be up and running. He says, “Hounds Town is a successful, relatively new franchise, and I think it is exciting to be a part of it.”
